So I thought fic? Well that's gonna take time...ooo as I have the desktop on what about picspam? Hmmm but that is boring...I know! Picpam with captions! And speech bubbles and thought bubbles all slapped on in PS9. So I did it.

It's been some time since my baby got any limelight due to the fact I can't find my digital camera lead but fear not! For new laptop has a webcam which can be used to take pcitures. So I tried it when a certain cat was busy on my knee and this was the result. Note: not dialup friendly.

Last night I watched BITH and The Deal with [info]monroe_nell and it was fun.

It also made me think - has nayone ever written Turnbull/Ovitz? I mean they talk to each other in canon...

I also think that Ray has a whole stack of post it notes for Fraser. Things like:

In better news I am now the proud owner of the wonderful novelisation - Vaulting North. Yes that's right folks one of those terrible dS novelisations from over a decade ago. And there will be snark, lots of snark in the review.

In the meantime I will give you a couple of short nuggets of this wonderful literary masterpeice.

I've got behind in my reading as my to read pile has begun to grow once more. So in order to feel like I am reading something I needed a light read, something not taxing and ended up reading 'Undead and Unwed' by Mary Janice Davidson.

I can't recall why I picked up this book. I think because it was new and shiny in the library and I like new and shiny.

I watched free Willie last night and I realised what a great episode it is for setting up the series. It actually has a lot to do in a short space of time (compared to the pilot). It has to pick up where the pilot left off, have Fraser find somewhere to live, re-establish the relationship Fraser and Ray have, remind us of Dief, set up Ray's workplace and all the secondary characters, give us a flavour of the sort of stories dS will tackle.

It does all that and it does it very well.

I was watching 'Vault' last night. I do love it even though Ray and Fraser are very much at odds with each other and the whole insurance scam really is a bit OOC for Ray at that point in canon (you would have thought he'd have moved beyond it by the end of S1 but never mind). I like mainly because of the married couple interplay. The banter, even though there's a hint of tension in it at some points, is wonderful.

And now some random things I noticed...

This week my mother introduced me to The Murdoch Mysteries. Based ont he books by Maureen Jennings it was originally put on screen starring Peter Outerbridge and Keely Hawes in 2004/2005 but only lasted 3 TV movie style episodes. The latest incarnation stars Yannick Bisson as Detective Murdoch.

I'm also finding myself very lack of attention spanness at the moment. I can't seem to concentrate on anything for a huge length of time. When reading a book after a few chapters I get bored and try something else. After writing a story for half an hour or less I get bored and start another, even TV shows I've been getting bored with. I have no idea why. It's very weird.

Hi this me kinda panicking over RoK and the F-V ficathon! *kinda panics* Actually I tell a lie I ahould be able to finish the RoK stuff today if my brain can find the porn gear.

Looking through [info]viciouscats's dS: mpreg!fic (slash only) list I am struck by a number of things. One of which is I am personally responsible for nearly 1/3 of all slash Mpreg fic in the dS fandom. And am responsible for 4/5 of all F/V Mpreg. That's really rather distirbing isn't it? Sadly I can tell you all it's not going to end there. *hides bunnies* Am also wondering if I ahould pimp the ginger bunny. I mean it's been linked now...

Onto less weird things. Something [info]nakeisha said in relation my post yesterday really struck me. Her comment was: That's chilling really, and secondly #05 and then #07 - interestingly all tied in to Victoria. As though she freed him, by reappearing and showing him she was dark and not worthy of his memories and 'love' to be able to fully give his love to Ray.

Which set me thinking thus: ( Much meta rambling about the boys, women and love. Slash bias )

Also re-reading my old fic makes me cringe. I can safely say yes I have developed as a writer. Because...my goodness. I cringe. Also some of it is fanwanky indeed.

Moving on I had a lovely dream last night in which there was a dS reunion movie. But it was real...and yet not. Awfully confusing. Anyway F/V became canon, Kowalski ran off with Turnbull and Frobisher wrestled a bear and won. Dief ate rabbit. Twas marvellous and ended with Fraser and Ray Vecchio living happily in a cabin in the woods. Which even had a garage. *hugs her cracky brain*

Just some quick crack. I started this for ds_snippets but it got a little out of control.
